a poignant travelogue taking its title from a medieval latin poem describing, 'the day of wrath, that day which will reduce the world to ashes'. journeys through modern and ancient, urban and rural landscapes, with movement created solely by the manipulation of stills, to arrive at the film's final, haunting place of rest.
